Sony’s Netflix-style subscription gaming service will gain some offline functionality later this year according to Kotaku UK. Subscribers will have the ability to download certain games and play them offline which is similar to how other services such as EA Access and Xbox Game Pass work. Every user account on a PS4 should be able to access PlayStation Now games downloaded to that console. The download feature will come to PlayStation Now in late September and will be limited to PS4 games.
This feature should help games requiring twitch reflexes to be more playable and subscribers with limited internet connections will appreciate the ability to simply download titles. Don’t forget that Sony is currently offering a 12-month subscription for $99 and that price should be good until September.
