Gameplay for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 was just shown during EA’s E3 press conference. The game play showed the returning game mode “Garden Ops” but with a twist…you can now play as the zombies in Garden Ops! Multiple new playable characters were shown including a small guy with dual machine guns and a zombie superhero similar to Superman. The zombies fought off waves of plants including a new boss that is a tree that shoots fire out of its mouth; mechs are also able to drop in that the zombies can get into similar to Titanfall. The gameplay ends with a zombie being shot out of the mech into the landing zone and escaping the hordes of plants.
EA also revealed that there will finally be a single player mode, as well as couch co-op. They also revealed that players of the first Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be able to import their characters into the new game and continue leveling them up. EA also mentioned that they’ll be continuing having free DLC for the game.
Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 is set to be released in the spring of 2016 on Xbox One, Play Station 4 and PC.
