Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition Releases March 11th

Perhaps you thought that you were finsihed with Ori and the Blind Forest. In truth, Ori hasn’t finished with you yet. The Definitive Edition releases on Friday and there is some new content to explore as well as refinements to the original game.

Are you wondering what is included with the Definitve Edition? There is an expanded theater mode that you can use to view cut scenes, concept art, trailers and more content.

A new play area reveals the nature of Naru, the motherly caretaker of Ori and her role within the game. Ori can gain two new abilities – Dash and Light Burst. These abilities have been balanced for use within the entire game.

Finally, the game now includes an Easy Mode for casual players. If you are a veteran of the Blind Forest and want a challenge then there is something for you as well. The Definitive Edition also packs a hard mode as wel as a mode that challenges you to beat the entire game with one life. Good luck with that.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be available on Xbox One, Windows 10 Store and Steam for $19.99. If you already own Ori and the Blind Forest then you can upgrade to the Definitive Edition for $4.99.

In the meantime, enjoy the new trailer.
