The fourth Oceans movie made a huge splash this weekend as it took the top spot from the floundering Solo movie. It seems that this week will be a small window of opportunity for movies like Oceans 8, Deadpool 2, and Solo. That’s because this is a relatively quiet time before some huge movies come out in the weeks ahead.
Ocean’s 8 opened with an estimated $41.5 million domestically. So far the worldwide total is sitting at $53.7 million. This movies features Danny Ocean’s sister (Debbie) as she and another group of professionals steal diamonds from the Met Gala. The horror movie Hereditary opened with $13 million landing in fourth place. Avengers: Infinity War will be passing the $2 billion mark within the next two days. The movie is sitting at $1,998,033,699 world wide. Sadly, Solo: A Star Wars Story will not be passing that $500 million mark as sales begin to slow down. The movie is sitting at a world wide total of $312 million. With Jurassic World: The Lost Kingdom opening up in foreign markets and taking a huge bite out of Solo’s profits, it seems that movie will need a miracle to stay in the top 10.
