New Backwards Compatible Titles Include Bayonetta, de Blob 2 & Arkanoid Live

Xbox’s Larry Hryb, better known as Major Nelson, has just posted up on his blog that new backwards compatible games will be arriving on the Xbox Store. This time around we will see games such as Bayonetta, de Blob 2, and Arakanoid.

Bayonetta is a welcomed surprise considering that both Bayonetta 1 and 2 were packaged together for the WiiU. Finally the highly praised action game is coming to the Xbox One. For those who have no idea what Bayonetta is, it’s a game created by Platnium Games. More specifically, from the man who created the Devil May Cry franchise. The influence is clearly seen in Bayonetta as it quickly became regarded as one of the best action games of all time.

Bayonetta is currently up for $19.99. Below is the description from its respective page on the Xbox Store.

From the creative geniuses behind Devil May Cry and Resident Evil comes Bayonettaâ„¢, a game of 100% pure, unadulterated, climatic action. With powers far beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, our heroine Bayonetta fights countless enemies, evil forces and giant foes in brutal yet graceful ways.

de Blob 2 is currently up for $19.99. Below is the description from its respective page on the Xbox Store.

Blob’s origins are mysterious, but he rolled up at the right place and the right time to be the hero that the Color Underground was looking for. Music surrounds him and color energy flows through him; with his touch Blob can literally make the world a better place. Blob represents individuality and determination. Blob is good hearted but lazy. He is often late, but he always comes through.

Araknoid Live is currently up for $9.99. Below is the description from its respective page on the Xbox Store.

ARKANOID comes back to life in XBLA! Destroy every block on screen by bouncing an Energy Ball against them with your Vaus!
