Microtransactions return to Forza Motorsport 6

When Microsoft launched Forza Motorsport 5, it drew criticism for being overzealous with the in game transactions that required you to spend real world money to gain access to certain items and cars. I myself found the constant nagging for me to purchase cars to unlock specific achievements quite annoying in Forza 5.

Turn 10 have announced that they will introduce the token system into Forza Motorsport 6, which will allow players to quickly gain access to specific cars in the career mode or other modes without having to finish races to gain in game credits so they can unlock those features. What is different this time is that players have the option to completely remove all mention of these tokens via the settings.

Microtransactions in Forza Motorsport is also completely optional, with the game not designed around the Token system. The system was introduced as a way for new players to quickly gain access to specific cars and mods without having to spend a days to gain access to them. I’ll be making use of this token system to get to an Ultra Rare mod that have been eluding me for months.

Tokens will be US$1 for 100 tokens and $100 for 20000 tokens.

The critically acclaimed Forza Motorsport 6 is available for download right now on the Xbox Store, or at your nearest retailer.
