Microsoft Third Quarter 2019 Financials Show Gaming Growth

The Microsoft third quarter 2019 financials have been released, with details on revenue across gaming and the company as a whole. Microsoft made $30.6 billion in revenue for the quarter, while gaming accounted for $2.36 billion of the revenue total.

  • Revenue was $30.6 billion and increased 14%
  • Operating income was $10.3 billion and increased 25%
  • Net income was $8.8 billion and increased 19%
  • Diluted earnings per share was $1.14 and increased 20%

Gaming revenue saw an increase of 5%, while Xbox software and services grew by 12%. Xbox Live monthly users have increased to 63 million, over 59 million this time last year. Per analyst Daniel Ahmad, Xbox gaming revenue was responsible for $11.62 billion over the last year.
