Microsoft has filed for a new trademark related to Mixer this week. The new trademark is “Mixer Reality” which indicates that the video streaming platform could be expanded in some way.
Microsoft states that the trademark application is related to the video games industry. “Entertainment services, namely, providing online video games; providing a website featuring gaming information,” the company noted on the application.
Mixer is a video streaming platform owned by Microsoft. The service is notable for its extremely low latency and interactive possibilities between the video streamer and the audience.
Is this a Mixer app for mixed reality headsets or something else? We will be sure to update you when more information is made available.
