The NPD numbers for the gaming industry have been released this morning. Matt Piscatella,US Video Games Industry Analyst and member of The NPD Group released the numbers this morning for the month of May with some surprising results! US NPD VG – Year to date spending across video game Hardware, Software, Accessories and Game Cards is up 15 percent when compared to the same period a year ago, to $4.9B. Growth has occurred across all categories of spending.

The video games industry is alive and well, where year to date spending on Accessories, Hardware and Software are up by 15% in comparison to this time last year.
