Mary and The Witch’s Flower will head to the U.S. in January 2018. This was announced by GKIDS and Fathom Events. The film will air in select theaters in the U.S on January 18th and nationwide on January 19th.
The filmed earned 3 billion yen in Japan which is around $26.5 million in the U.S. The premiere of the movie will have two screenings: one will be an English dub and the other will have English subtitles.
Mary and The Witch’s Flower is about a young girl named Mary Smith who lives with her grandparents while here parents are away working. One day while following two cats, she encounters a strange magical flower that grants her powers. It blooms once every 7 years and is extremely coveted by Witches from all over.
