The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening has been announced for Nintendo Switch, check out the trailer below:Â
Originally released for the Game Boy™ system more than 25 years ago, one of the most beloved games in the Legend of Zelda series returns. In this modern re-imagining, players once again return to the mysterious island of Koholint to guide Link on a perilous adventure. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening arrives exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2019.
That’s a massive visual upgrade, to say the least. This game first released for the Game Boy in 1993 and was later ported to the Game Boy Color in 1998. It’s going to be fascinating to see what has changed with this new Nintendo Switch version. It’s also interesting to see that this is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch and not to the Nintendo 3DS. Perhaps more and more games in Nintendo’s pipeline are being focused on Switch, due to its success?
Regardless of whether or not that’s the case, there’s no release date currently, only a vague release window of 2019. We’ll be sure to let you know when more information (such as a release date) is released.
