A surprising announcement has taken place as Jade Raymond joins Google as VP. When asked whether she was now Vice President of Google as a whole, or a particular subsection of the company, Jade declined to comment.
Jade Raymond has a long history in the gaming industry, working at Ubisoft Montreal on games like Watch Dogs, while she helped to found Ubisoft Toronto. At Electronic Arts, she founded Motive Studios and helped with the now-cancelled Star Wars title from Visceral Games. She left Electronic Arts late last year.

Google will be holding an event soon to show their new gaming initiative. Last year, they began a closed beta test of their game streaming service, called Project Stream.
