This past weekend the horror movie It: Chapter Two easily took over the top spot at the box office. Pennywise grossed an estimated $91 million domestically and $94 million in the foreign market. The movie currently sits at $185 million world-wide.
The Summer movie season ended last weekend with a dismal display at the box office. This weekend would have been the same had It: Chapter Two not been released. The second movie on the list only grossed $6 million, that movie is Angel has Fallen. Good Boys grossed $5.3 million as the movie sits at $82 million world-wide. Not that terrible for a comedy.
Weekend Top Three
3. Good Boys $5.3 million
2. Angel has Fallen $6 million
1. It: Chapter Two $91 million
Next weekend The Goldfinch and Hustlers will be coming out. Those two movies should easily take over the second and third place behind It: Chapter Two. The next big comic book movie that comes out will be the DC movie Joker. This rated R movie will be coming out on October 4th. Hopefully the rest of the year will be better than last weekend in terms of movies coming to the box office.
