This is the weekend I have been talking about for a while now. The real start to the summer blockbuster movies that will make in excess of $100 million each weekend for weeks to come. Incredibles 2 is that first movie with a mind-blowing $180 million estimated opening weekend.
Fans have been waiting for some time to see the sequel to the smash hit Incredibles 2. This movie has enjoyed the top opening weekend for an animated film,= beating out Finding Dory. It is also the 8th highest opening weekend beating out Captain America: Civil War. The movie is sitting at $231 million worldwide at the moment. Weirdly enough though – Jurassic World: Lost Kingdom is sitting at $375 million and has yet to open up domestically. Next weekend that movie will be opening up in the United States in over 4,000 theaters. So expect some big things from that movie. Tag opened up with a respectable $14.6 million while Superfly failed to top Solo with a dismal $6.3 million.

Next weekend Jurassic World: Lost Kingdom will be opening with no big movies to go up against it. The juggernaut of a movie is going to easily take over the box office. Have a great weekend and enjoy next week. Hopefully everyone had gotten to see the games they wanted from this years E3 event. I’m still a little salty that no Animal Crossing was shown.
