Better late than never. Microsoft was unusually late to announce the upcoming Games with Gold titles for July 2019. Fortunately the lineup was announced earlier today – a day before they will become available to eager Xbox gamers. I know that you just want to find out what games to expect so let’s get to it, shall we?
Xbox One Titles
InsideLimbo and offers similar puzzle-platforming gameplay in order to avoid a gruesome death. Definitely worth a playthrough. Inside will be available from July 1st to July 31st.
Big Crown: Showdown (MSRP: $12.99)
Trust me when I tell you that you are going to want to gather a few friends before you play Big Crown: Showdown. Ideally you will have everyone at the same place for some local multiplayer havoc because while this game does offer online features, they do not seem to work as well as they should. In Big Crown: Showdown you and your friends try to make it to the end of the level while battling and knocking each other out of the way. It really can be fun as a local party game so do not overlook it. This game will be available from July 16th to August 15th.
Xbox 360 Games
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (MSRP $9.99)
A classic game that appeared on the original PlayStation way back in the 90s, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night received an HD makeover and was rereleased on the Xbox 360 Arcade. I prefer Castlevania as a straightforward action platformer but even I have to admit that this game has a lot to offer. You play as Alucard – son of Dracula – who has had his powers stripped. You explore the castle and slowly rebuild your powers and eventually face off against your old man, big Dracula himself. You can download this one any time from July 1st to July 15th.
Meet the Robinsons (MSRP $19.99)
I can see your eyes rolling over this title. You may be groaning that this is a licensed game based on a Disney movie and you’re right – it is. However, I am told that this is a pretty good game to play with kids so I would suggest at least checking it out. This game will be available from July 16th to July 31st.
