From the director of the Sword Art Online series and Erased, Tomohiko Ito is bringing fans an all-new experience with his latest film titled Hello World. Hello World is a sci-fi love story that follows a high school student Naomi Katagaki. Set in the year 2077, Naomi encounters a person who claims to be him from 10 years in the future. Together they must change the future in order to save a fellow classmate named is Ruri, who highschool Naomi starts to date three in three months.
The film is set to release in Japan on September 20th. As of now, there is no information if the film will make it over to the West, but we will update you with any new information when it’s released.
