Funimation and Hulu Extend Partnership Through 2019

Now that Crunchyroll moved on from Funimation and has since entered a partnership with HiDive, it is time for Funimation to partner up with somebody else. Funimation has entered a multi-year deal with streaming giant Hulu starting in 2019. This will continue to build the relationship these two companies already enjoy. Lisa Holme, the VP of Hulu’s Content Aquisition, has this to say regarding the deal: “Funimation has been a longtime partner of ours, and together we have curated a full library of the most sought-after anime series from all over the world on Hulu … With this new deal, we are doubling-down on our investment to continue growing our world-class anime offering with even more shows that we know our viewers love to watch.”

Things have become rather interesting as the two anime giants Funimation and Crunchyroll have moved on and made agreements with other partners. Even though Crunchyroll and Funimation have split, it is great to see the anime industry thriving. What are your thoughts on the new merger? Let us know in the comment section below.
