As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. That unfortunately includes the digital version of games from the excellent Forza Horizon series. According to a recent post on the official Forza Motorsport forum, the digital version of Forza Horizon 2 will be delisted from the Xbox store on September 30th. That includes all of the DLC for the game such as the Storm Island expansion and the various car packs.
If you already own the digital version of the game and any of the DLC, don’t worry. You will still be able to download it to your Xbox One console after September 30th. You will just not be able to purchase the game or any of its DLC after it becomes delisted.
Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download the game for no cost as part of the August Games with Gold titles until August 31st. You will then be able to download the game as often as you like so long as your Gold subscription remains active.
You can also get your hands on the physical version of Forza Horizon 2 at brick & mortar stores but you won’t be able to buy any DLC for it.
No official reason was given for the delisting but the licensed music in Forza Horizon 2 is the likely cause.
