Electronic Arts Fourth Quarter 2019 and Fiscal Year 2019 results have been posted. EA had a busy quarter, with the launch of Anthem and Apex Legends.
Here’s a summary for Electronic Arts Fourth Quarter 2019 and Fiscal Year 2019 results, from the press release and following conference:Â
- Sales for the year reached $4.95 billion, below the previous year’s $5.15 billion
- $2.4 billion for the year came from various live services (including in-game purchases)
- 49% of all unit sales were digital
- Anthem did not meet expectations (which were set at roughly five to six million units)
- Apex Legends is the fastest-growing game ever for the company, more details on season 2 at EA PLAY 2019
- The various sports games for 2019 and Sea of Solitude will release in the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2020
- Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is still releasing on November 15th, 2019 (in the third quarter). It is expected to sell between six to eight million units by March 2020
- EA Access/Origin Access has 3.5 million subscribers on Xbox One and PC, service is expanding to PlayStation 4
