With E3 2019 just a short ways away, Nicholas and I are continuing our predictions series. This time, we’re talking about what we expect to see from the E3 2019 Bethesda showcase. If you’re not sure when a particular conference is being held, you can check the list here.

E3 2019 Bethesda Predictions
Sam: Let’s get to the chase: Doom Eternal is the showpiece of the show. Easily half the conference will be devoted to this title. This is Bethesda’s big game for the year and they’ll do a full blowout of gameplay, new features, and everything else there is to know about the game. I’m expecting it to release in October 2019.
Nick: I really don’t have anything to add, for once we’re in absolute perfect agreement on this. This is going to be a fantastic game.
Nick: Next up, I think we will get a teaser from Tango Gameworks, who will reveal they’ve been working on The Evil Within 3, or at least something Evil Within-related.
Sam: It would make sense. We haven’t really heard from Tango Gameworks in a good while now. With that said, I think it would be a CGI teaser, with a vague 2020 release window. Kind of like how Prey was revealed in 2016.
Sam: I think they are going to announce some post-launch content for Rage 2. Bombastic, over-the-top marketing, probably a price drop, that kind of thing.
Nick: You know they’ve already said that’s happening, right?
Sam: Oh. Well, then I’ll stick with that prediction.
Nick: Fine. I think if we get a next-gen teaser, it would be to see Arkane showing off a next-generation Dishonored title. Arkane are masters of their craft and of level design, showing off what they could do on next-gen would be fantastic.
Sam: If we get a next-gen demo, it’s Starfield. I’m not sure there will be one and I know they already said not to expect Starfield or The Elder Scrolls VI but I think they might relent to let Todd Howard come out and talk about the new improvements made to their engine.
Sam: We can’t ignore that Wolfenstein: Youngblood will be shown. I don’t think it’ll be shown too heavily since it’s out in July but it’ll definitely be there.
Nick: To close our discussion out, I don’t think we should rule out the possibility of a Fallout 3 remaster for modern consoles, including the Switch. It would be a great way for Bethesda Game Studios to do an easy project in the improved engine.
