Diablo 3, which originally launched back in 2012 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC has been a huge success for Blizzard, thanks to the continued support and porting the game to Xbox One and PS4. However, the Nintendo Switch may be getting a port of the amazing dungeon crawler. Thanks to a leaked article from Forbes which has since been deleted, the article detailed that Diablo 3 would be coming to Nintendo Switch later in 2018. Named the “Eternal Collection” the game will feature all add-on content that has been released, as well as getting some exclusive Nintendo themed content. This content is primarily cosmetic as the Nintendo Switch version will include Legend of Ganondorf armor set, chicken pet, Tri-Force portrait frame and Echoes of the Mask cosmetic wings. There will also be a few unique ways gamers can play Diablo 3 on the Switch beside just the simple docked and undocked way. There is also supposed to be cloud supported saves, which is a feature more and more Switch games need.
- Up to 4 players can play together on a single Switch.
- Up to 4 players can play on 4 different Switch units wirelessly without an internet connection.
- Players can also team up online with the Nintendo Switch Online service (which launches in September.)
This is pretty exciting news for Switch owners as Diablo 3 is a perfect fit for on the go gamers. This will likely be a must buy for many Switch owners!
