Ben Affleck’s Twitter account has just released footage of the famed mercenary Deathstroke. No context was given with the official tweet but the seeing as how Affleck is posed to direct the next Batman solo film it could be a tease of things to come. On the other hand, a Justice League movie is planned for next year though the odds of Deathstroke being the main antagonist in that is already pretty low. The main villain of Justice League is Steppenwolf as seen in the end of Batman V Superman.
Deathstroke has seen various adaptions in entertainment media. Deathstroke, or Slade Wilson, was the villain for the Teen Titans animated show. He would later show up in the live action TV show Arrow played by Manu Bennett. The latest rendition of the character came in the Batman Arkham games. With each portrayal of the character came new found popularity. It’s unsurprising at this point to see the armored villain make his debut in a Hollywood film.
