Dark Souls Remastered Announced For Current Consoles & PC

If for some strange reason you haven’t had the pleasure of getting your butt kicked by Dark Souls over the last few years, you’re in luck. Bandai Namco and From Software are bringing a remastered version of the Action-RPG to PC and current generation consoles. Yes, even Nintendo Switch owners can enjoy a taste of something wicked this time around.

If you own the vanilla versions of the Xbox One or PS4, you can enjoy the game in 1080p resolution and a silky smooth 60 frames per second. Those of you who have a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X enjoy the same frame rate but the resolution will be boosted to upscaled 4K. Nintendo Switch players will take a hit in performance – 1080p resolution in docked mode and 720p while playing in handheld mode. Expect a frame rate of 30 frames per second in both modes. PC owners will of course be able to run the game all the way up to native 4K resolution and 60 frames per second.

The multiplayer aspect of the game also enjoys a nice boost. Up to six players at a time will be supported in Dark Souls Remastered. The expansion, Artorias of the Abyss will also be included.

Dark Souls Remastered will rise from the ashes on May 25th.
