We have great news for all fans of mugs and mug protagonists in games. Studio MDHR has announced that Cuphead has gone triple platinum, which means it’s sold over three million copies across Xbox One and PC!

Hello friends! We’re barely past the halfway mark of 2018, and are humbled to announce that Cuphead has already reached over 3 million copies sold! It’s hard for us to express just how appreciative we are to everyone who has played and enjoyed our niche little run & gun game with the wacky rubber-hose characters.
In the first two weeks after launch, the team confirmed that the game had gone platinum, going double platinum just before the end of 2017. It’s great to see the game supported this well, especially after how long Cuphead was in development and the numerous challenges the team faced.
While the Delicious Last Course DLC is still coming in 2019, Studio MDHR does suggest we might see something new before the end of the year:
