This weekend Crazy Rich Asians took the top spot for the third time in a row. The movie has grossed a respectable $110 million domestically. Without any real competition for several weeks it has been easy for this movie to keep bringing in the audiences. You can’t give all the credit to the fantastic amount of money this movie has made to the lack of competition. Crazy Rich Asians is also a great movie that is currently certified fresh on Rottentomatoes.com.
The movie Searching had a fantastic jump at the box office. It went from 22nd place all the way up to the 5th place with $5.7 million. As we near the end of Summer I just hope that next year we get some awesome new movies towards the end of the season. This year has been dismal at best.
