The official story trailer for The Division 2 has been released by the good people over at Ubisoft. Let’s watch it together:
The Division 2 takes place 7 months after the first game in the series and this time the action takes place in the capitol city of the United States – Washington D.C. You will see actual historic sites from the area as you battle against multiple enemy factions vying for control of the city. As a sleeper Division agent it is up to you and your teammates to preserve what remains of the nation.
As you would expect, Ubisoft is packing a lot of content into both single and multi-player modes of the game. They are promising a year of free map expansions and story missions for free and will even toss in a few new features such as Raids. After you finish the campaign you will be able to select a specialized class with an all new progression system. The Dark Zone will return and like before you may find some of the best loot in the entire game there but it won’t be quite as chaotic as it was in the first game. No matter how far along you are in your character’s progression you should expect a fair challenge this time around.
The Division 2 will launch for the PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 15th. There will be a beta in February that you can sign up for right now. If you have pre-ordered the game you have guaranteed access to the beta.
