The fist community event for Call of Duty: WW2 began today. Activision is giving players a new map and a bunch of Winter themed items for players to enjoy in the Winter Siege event.
Players will start off with a new map called Winter Caretan. This map will be only available during the Winter Siege event. Also look out for a 2xp playlist during the event that will feature this new map. That is not all, though. Each week players will be getting a Winter themed supply drop. This will include anything from emotes, calling cards, weapons, and more.
Now the HQ will be getting a Winter makeover. You will notice a little snow on the ground and some other holiday themed decorations lying around. Players will also notice a new Quartermaster hanging out in the HQ. That is Captain Butcher, he’s that fiery voice you heard in the trailer above. The last thing to happen during this event is a special game mode. On December 15th players will get to enjoy Gun Game. This mode cycles through various weapons as players have to stay stay on their toes as the games pace can change in a second.
The Winter Siege event will be starting today on December 8th and the event will go until January 2nd. That seems like plenty of time to get some new gear. Yet with the Holidays during this even it may be harder then you think.
