We knew Borderlands 2 would be getting new DLC in the upcoming months ahead of the launch of Borderlands 3 later this year. The DLC is meant to setup the events prior to Borderlands 3 in terms of storytelling. Today, we have officially learned the DLC is called “Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary“. Thanks to Twitter user lashman who shared a link to the store page on Steam. While the link has since been taken down we did manage to learn a few facts.

The DLC will be available for free on June 9th, 2019 which lashman clarified in a follow up tweet just after.

This is very exciting news for Borderlands fans, who have been enjoying the original Borderlands remastered and now have new DLC to look forward to as well.
