Bethesda has begun their marketing campaign for Fallout 4 with the much awaited S.P.E.C.I.A.L video series as was mention at Quakecon of this year. This is the first of seven instructional videos styled after the educational cartoons of the early 1900’s featuring Vault Boy and each of the seven SPECIAL abilities. Bethesda is kicking off the series with Strength and slightly delves into the attributes of the ability such as increased carrying ability and melee weapons.
More importantly, the video gives us a glimpse of the perks that will be available with each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. trait. The biggest change to the Fallout series is the tying in of certain perks to the SPECIAL traits and we catch a glimpse of the perk chart at the very end. From the short glance we can confirm (if this chart is to be taken seriously)Â 6 perks so far, how many points they require, and which tree they are assigned to. Some names have not been confirmed but the skills are discernable.
