After Microsoft and EA slashed the price of the previous installment of Battlefield down to just $10 this week, the game rushed to the number one spot. Battlefield 1, which is the next installment was revealed by EA and Dice last week at an event. The game will be set in World War 1 (hence the weird numbering), and will run on the next generation Frostbyte engine.
Other games who got sizable discounts this week, like Payday jumped in the charts this week. DC Online Universe remains the single most downloaded game, followed by Defence Grid and Sunset Overdrive (all free). Rise of the Tomb Raider makes a re-appearance on Xbox One this week, which is strange since it didn’t receive a price reduction. Battleborn grabbed the 11th spot, just shy of the top 10 in its debut week.
