Bad Boys for Life Continues Box Office Reign

Bad Boys for Life continues to dominate the box office this weekend. The movie now sits at $120 million domestically, it brought in an estimated $34 million this weekend. Guy Ritchie’s new film The Gentlemen failed to break into the top three. It grossed an estimated $11 million this weekend.

Films 1917 and Dolittle both rounded out the top three. The World War One movie 1917 brought in an estimated $15.8 million. Robert Downey Jr’s Dolittle grossed $12.5 million this weekend. It has clearly become one of the first bombs of 2020. The Turning was released in more theaters than The Gentlemen and failed to gross much more. That movie sits at $7.3 million. January really is one of the worst months for movies to be released. Unless your Bad Boys for Life, then this month is great.

Sony is clearly not happy with the way the Masters of the Universe movie is going. Read about that by clicking this link. Next weekend Gretel & Hansel and The Rythem Section will be the last large releases in January. After that, we get one of the first big movies of the year with DC’s Bird of Prey.
