Avengers: Endgame is still breaking records in its second weekend. The movie grossed an estimated $145 million domestically. Avengers: Endgame is now the fastest movie to cross $2 billion in ticket sales. Domestically the movie is sitting at $619 million, the movie could reach the level that Star Wars: The Force Awakens did when it was released.
The rest of the moves that were released this weekend didn’t do so well. The animated film Uglydolls failed to open with more than $8.5 million. The Intruder actually made back its $8 million dollar budget this weekend. That movie grossed a healthy $11 million against the onslaught of the Marvel juggernaut. Avengers: Endgame did actually pass Titanic as the second highest grossing movie in the world. It looks like Avengers: Endgame might not have the strength to become the number one movie. Avatar made a ton of money, with the movies coming out in the next few weeks it could be tough to get to that spot.

Next weekend we see The Hustle, Poms, and Pokemon Detective Pikachu all coming out. Don’t expect the top movie to drop from the number one spot for a few more weeks. The rest of May looks like we really do have some great movies coming out.
