Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 Delayed Globally

It seems that the Attack on Titan anime just can’t catch a break. With the recent news of Wit Studio stepping away from the series, fans have been wondering who will take over production and will the new studio match the quality of Wit Studio when it comes to art and animation? Now we have learned that the anime will be getting global delays from Sunday to Wednesdays because of leaks.

Funimation has announced that the next episode of the show will release on May 29th. Other streaming platforms such as Hulu and Crunchyroll will follow suit. Times will also be different. Instead of coming out on Sundays at 1:35 p.m. EDT, it will be on at Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. EDT. Funimation had this to say about the change:

“For two weeks in a row, the latest Attack on Titan episode has been leaked by sublicensees in two different territories before Japan’s broadcast. As it’s always the case with leaks and pirated content, this has created problems for everyone involved in bringing you this title.

To prevent further leaks, the licensor has decided to deliver the show materials to Funimation after Japan’s broadcast has concluded on Sunday.”

Let us know your thoughts on the change in schedule for the Attack on Titan anime in the comment section below. Are you happy that it’s moving to Wednesday or do you wish it would still come out on Sundays?
