We have just learned that Albert Panello is leaving Xbox. Albert worked at Xbox for over 18 years, most recently as the Director of Xbox Console Marketing. He was instrumental in helping to promote the Xbox One X back when it was simply known as Project Scorpio.
Albert Panello announced he was leaving Xbox via Twitter:Â
Well today is a crazy day. I've made the decision after 18 years to leave Microsoft. To say it's been a "once in a lifetime" experience is an understatement. The team at #Xbox has meant so much to me and I'll be cheering them on – there is so much great stuff still to come.

With that kind of tenure, he’s had a huge impact on Xbox and the team there. Making the decision to leave after nearly 20 years can’t have come lightly, and we’d like to wish him thanks for all he’s done at Xbox and nothing but the best for whatever he does, wherever he goes from here.
