Mortal Kombat 11 has been a runaway success for NetherRealm and franchise creator Ed Boon. Mortal Kombat 11 is the best selling game of 2019 as per May 2019’s NPDs and has been one of the best received Mortal Kombat games in a long time. Part of the excitement of Mortal Kombat is what characters could show up as DLC. Mortal Kombat X had a great roster of DLC fighters from Jason, to the Xenomorph from the Aliens franchise. It is safe to say, the fan service in Mortal Kombat has been historically great. This trend appears to be continuing, as today Ed Boon revealed our first look at Sindel a classic Mortal Kombat character. Sindel was originally introduced to fans in Mortal Kombat 3 all the way back in 1995.

Here is a brief backstory of Sindel’s character in the Mortal Kombat universe from the official wiki.
Despite her menacing appearance, Sindel is kind and benevolent in nature. She rules the realm of Edenia alongside her daughter, Princess Kitana. Sindel’s power appears to be of inner, ethereal nature in more than one way. She is a distinctly older and more mature character, with flowing grey hair and a regal attitude befitting of her role as Queen of Edenia. She has a natural affinity with aerial magic, as evidenced by her ability to levitate and manipulate sonic waves.
