Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Beta dates revealed

Are you ready to head into the frigid cold in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne? Well, it’s almost time. The game’s official Twitter announced that the final beta for the upcoming expansion will be here soon. How soon exactly depends on what system you play on.

For PlayStation 4 users, the beta will begin on August 30th at 12 am PDT and conclude on September 1st at 11:59 pm PDT. The Xbox One beta will run from September 2nd at 12 am PDT to September 4th at 11:59 pm PDT.

Judging by the Monster Hunter World Twitter thread, Xbox One fans are happy to finally get a beta to play in. And it looks like this beta will be a fun one. According to their website, players can expect quite a lot out of these short beta windows. There will be both single- and multiplayer access to the four beta quests. The quests range in difficulty from novice to master. Completing each one will reward players with a commendation pack that they can redeem in the main game. The packs are said to contain useful items such as max potions and meal vouchers.

Players participating in the Iceborne beta will also be able to try out some new features. The first is the Clutch Claw, a new addition to the slingers in the game. The Clutch Claw will allow players to grab onto monsters and influence how they move. You can also use slingers with a weapon drawn now. In addition, each weapon has added new features to try out. Monster Hunter World has also added in a new View Mode which can be used to take better in-game photos. But my favorite new feature mentioned has to be the Tailraiders, summonable monsters that you can ride around in the game.

All-in-all, it sounds like the beta will have a lot for players to explore. What are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments.
