Ralph Breaks the Internet Stays on top as Aquaman takes over China

This weekend we saw a slow domestic weekend at the box office when no new movies were released. Ralph Breaks the Internet took the top spot once again. It seems that The Grinch didn’t have the strength to steal the top spot. Aquaman had a great opening weekend in China as it grossed an estimated $93 million. The movie isn’t due here in the United States until December 21st.

This week fans where given the first look at Avengers: Endgame. Hopefully we see some more before the end of the year. Fans were also given a second trailer for Captain Marvel. The Marvel Juggernaught is in full force as we come to the end of 2018. Once Upon a Deadpool is being released next week and Venom is hitting homes on the digital market. Venom is coming to a stop as it sits at an estimated $851 million worldwide. Not bad for a movie that everyone thought would flop.

Weekend Top Five

5. Bohemian Rhapsody $6 million

4. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald $6.8 million

3. Creed II $10.3 million

2. The Grinch $15.1 million

1. Ralph Breaks the Internet $16.1 million

Four movies will be coming out this week. Two Marvel movies and then just two more that hope to make it into the top five. Once Upon a Deadpool, Mortal Engines, Mule, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will all come out. I really don’t know which movie will take the top spot next week. I just hope everyone has a great week and enjoys the cold weather by staying inside and playing a game or two.
