Hajime Tabata Opens JP Games, Inc After Departure From Square Enix

After a departure from Square Enix roughly a month ago the director of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, has announced on his Facebook page that he has formed his own company. The name of that studio is JP GAMES, Inc. While there is very little information on this right now, it’s exciting to see what will come out of this newly found company. According to Hajime Tabata’s Facebook post, the company is currently aiming for a January 2019 launch.

Hajime Tabata opens JP Games, Inc:

I started up my own company called “JP GAMES,Inc.”
Right now, we are preparing for a target January 2019 launch.
And to everyone who has assisted me until today–I kindly ask for your ongoing support.

With the cancellation of the Final Fantasy XV DLC’s after Episode Ardyn having been a blow to Final Fantasy XV players, there may be mixed emotions about this overall, despite the excitement that this news also brings with it. When more news about this studio and Hajime Tabata breaks we will keep you all updated as soon as we can.

35 year old gamer. Father of one, got a wife around here somewhere too. Haha. I've been gaming since '88. I feel I've reached some weird "Old Gamer" paradigm in my life where I usually only end up playing for a few hours of out the day, and if people didn't know better, they'd probably call me a filthy casual. I'm more of a grizzled veteran who has been there and done that and nothing really has the wow factor it once did. RPG's are my jam, Western RPG's mainly. I like a good JRPG too though. Might fight you over Fallout.
