In a bit of interesting pre-E3 news, it seems that the guys over at Twisted Pixel are working on a AAA game. A Linkedin account for one of Twisted Pixel’s employees has the employee stating that they are currently working on “some super duper cool AAA game.”
This lines up with what Phil Spencer has previously stated on how Twisted Pixel’s new game is “likely the biggest game they’ve ever built”.

This is particularly interesting as Twisted Pixel has only done small downloadable games thus far like The Maw, ‘Splosion Man and Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley. This leads to the question of exactly what type of AAA game the company is working on, the more traditional Halo/Gears of War style or something more in-line with Ori & The Blind Forest? From what is currently known about the studio, it’s composed of around 20-30 people, so the latter is most likely. Twisted Pixel’s previous games haven’t been the most visually pleasing, so it will be interesting to see the company potentially release a game with good graphics.
As Twisted Pixel is a first party developer for Microsoft, the first place to see their new game will most likely be at Microsoft’s E3 2015 Press Conference. The conference is set to air on Monday June 15 at 12:30p ET/9:30a PT.
