Atlus USA have announced that they will be releasing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim in North America and Europe. This Vanilliaware title is still in development, so we have little information on it. While Atlus USA have not yet announced the platforms for their localization, the official Japanese site has it listed for Vita and PS4.

According to the official site, the game marks a departure from the studio’s usual fantasy style. Instead, the game takes place in a “modern setting” with giant mechs. The publisher promises that while the game’s tone is bleak, the visuals will be as beautiful as ever.
Before working on 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Vanillaware developed a number of popular titles. These include the likes of Odin Sphere, Muramasa, and Dragon’s Crown. Judging from this pedigree, it seems likely that their current project is an action game.
