Update 10/22: This deal will also be available over at Best Buy and Fry’s. I would guess Amazon will offer this discount as well.

Sony may have the marketing rights for Red Dead Redemption 2 but that isn’t stopping those rascals at Microsoft and several retailers from offering a very tempting deal on a new Xbox One console when you purchase the game at one of their stores. Beginning on October 25th you can swagger into GameStop, Best Buy or Fry’s to buy your copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 and at the same time you could lasso yourself a $100 USD discount on any new Xbox One console. That would even include the Xbox One X if you want to play the game in 4K resolution with HDR enhancements on the most powerful console currently on the market. You could opt for the original Xbox One console but there is really no reason to choose that over the newer versions of the system.

This knocks the price of an Xbox One X down to $399 USD. If you are feeling thrifty you can opt for the Xbox One S; it won’t be as powerful but that console will only set you back by $199 USD. Think it over if you need to but don’t take too long as the deal is only good until November 3rd. If you decide to go for it I would suggest you try and pick up a bundle deal. Nothing wrong with scooping up an extra game with this deal, right?

There is no indication as of this writing if you must buy a physical version of the game or if you can buy a digital code and still get the discount. I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that Amazon will offer this deal as well.
