Super Meat Boy Sales On Switch On Par With Xbox 360 Debut

By now I think it is safe to say that Nintendo Switch owners love their indie games. The latest indicator comes from Team Meat who launched their classic game Super Meat Boy on the Switch eShop. Apparently a lot of you noticed the game was available – it sold as almost as much in one day as it did way back in 2010 during its Xbox 360 debut. The developer mentioned this in a tweet:

Keep in mind that the Xbox 360 had been on the market for nearly five years when the game launched on Xbox Live Arcade. The Switch has not even been available for one year.

Super Meat Boy is a brutally difficult 2D platformer with an emphasis on precision timing. Most of the levels can be beaten in seconds but you’ll likely repeat most of them dozens (or in my case, hundreds) of times. In all fairness, the game boasts superbly fluid controls so when you die, it is your own fault.

If you want to buy Super Meat Boy for your Nintendo Switch, you can find it on the eShop for $14.99.[amazon_link asins=’B01M0YDV8M,B01LZNGPY3,B01LYOCVZF,B01M1VX5UJ,B01LZNGH6L,B01LZZ8UKK,B01LZNGKZ8′ template=’ProductCarousel’ store=’jasonmckendricks-20′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’56f97f5c-f7f1-11e7-8c04-e987a05740f1′]
