Titanfall 2 To Launch This Fall

Titanfall 2 has been confirmed for some time already and EA had announced when the game will launch. The game is currently set for a fall 2016 release. It’s likely to be released in November to go head-to-head with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, a game that seems heavily inspired by Titanfall.

Some may notice that EA is launching another big AAA FPS this fall in the form of Battlefield 1. This could lead to EA cannibalizing their own sales, however EA doesn’t believe this will happen. EA’s Andrew Wilson says :

“There is a very broad and diverse set of players who play games in that category who are looking for – to fulfil different game play motivations,” …

“Some people play very quick play, some people more strategic play, and some people want both in different context. The result [is] we feel like we actually have a really strong position to deliver the broadest set of gameplay mechanics as it relates to first-person shooter genre across the two titles, and feel very confident that we are well-positioned to do very well in that category [this] year.”

EA has yet to officially to reveal Titanfall 2, they plan to do that next month at E3. EA is changing things up this year and having a special presentation on the Sunday before E3 officially starts. For all of the latest on E3 and EA at E3, keep checking TICGN.
