It’s hard to believe that we have been trash-talking and throwing down quarters for rage-fueled Street Fighter matches for over thirty years now but it’s true. The original Street Fighter game appeared in arcades in 1987 and while they’re a little late, Capcom is bringing us over a dozen games in the series in one massive collection next year. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will also come packed with art galleries, a music archive, an interactive timeline and according to Capcom – arcade perfect gameplay.

What games are included in the collection? Take a look at the first six titles:

If you didn’t play many arcade games back in the day you probably never got a chance to check out the original Street Fighter unless you owned a TurboGrafx-16 and the Turbo CD add-on unit. Notice that the Sega Genesis exclusive Special Edition is also included.

Here are the other six games included with the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection:

That’s all of the Street Fighter Alpha games and three versions of Street Fighter III – one of the most technical fighting games ever made.

There will of course be online multiplayer matches for both ranked and casual players. No word yet on local multiplayer but let’s hope that will be included as well.

Best of all, no current system owners will be left out of the fun this time. Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam. I’m hoping there will be cross-platform multiplayer for most of these systems.

See you on the streets!
