The November 2018 NPD results are in, thanks to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella and VentureBeat. This month saw some extremely strong performance from both software and hardware. Red Dead Redemption 2 was the bestselling game of the month, with Fallout 76 and both Pokémon titles making a strong debut on the charts despite a lack of digital sales.

The Nintendo Switch was the bestselling console of November 2018 in dollar sales, while the PlayStation 4 was the bestselling console in regards to unit sales. Console sales were strong for everybody though, as history was made: for the first time, three different home consoles (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) all sold over 1.3 million units in November.
