Dragon Ball FighterZ Could Get A Switch Port

Dragon Ball FighterZ made a big splash at E3, the game seemingly came out of nowhere and wowed just about everyone who’s seen it. The hype is real for this game, but it seemed like the Nintendo crowd was being left out of the fun. That was until the game’s producer, Tomoko Hiroki, gave a bit of hope for Nintendo fans.

In an interview with GameBlog, Hiroki was asked if the Nintendo Switch was capable of running Dragon Ball FighterZ. The interview had previously heard that Bandai Namco had to make cuts to get Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 running on the Switch.

Hiroki replied with this statement: “I don’t know who told you that, but it’s truly not a question of power. We did not run into any true difficulties for the Switch version of Xenoverse 2. I’d say that if we get enough demand from fans, we could make a Switch version (of Dragon Ball FighterZ) as well. Although, it may not release at the same time as the other versions, we might consider it.”

After this statement became public, the fan demand started pouring as several prominent fighting game and Nintendo fans have taken to Twitter to show their support.

Hopefully Bandai and Nintendo will hear the demand, so that they can work together to get the game on the Switch. The game having cross-play with the Xbox One version would be an added bonus!

Dragon Ball FighterZ is set to launch in 2018, TICGN will keep you updated with the latest on the game.
