In a press release, Capcom has released their financial results for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. Net sales for the financial year (which ended on March 31st, 2019) reached 100,031 million yen (or roughly $900 million USD), which is up 5.8% from the previous fiscal year. As a result, the company reached record profit for the second year in a row.
Here’s a summary of major highlights for Capcom’s Fiscal Year 2018-2019 results:
- Resident Evil 2, which passed 4 million copies sold, has “exceeded expectations”
- Monster Hunter: World has reached 12 million copies sold (it was at 11 million last quarter)
- Devil May Cry 5 has “also performed well”
Capcom is doing very well and it’ll be interesting to see just what the company has coming next.
