I love playing multiplayer games with my friends. We play a wide range of games: OverwatchDead by DaylightOvercooked 2, Minecraft, and the list goes on. However, I’ve felt that there’s a lack of adventure games for us to play that are engaging, co-op, and fun. Now that I’ve found out about Adventure In Aellion, I think that might change.

The debut game of studio The Game Production Company, Adventure In Aellion is simple enough in its concept. It’s a game about exploration, solving puzzles, and fighting your way through dungeons. The game’s Steam page doesn’t actually say much about the plot, but that’s not what really interests me here. The most interesting part of the game to me is that it says it will feature seamless drop-in, drop-out co-operative play.

While I have no way of knowing what the plot will be or how good it will be, a game that lets you play in a large open-world game adventure with friends while uncovering a story and dungeon-crawling is something of a rarity. Sure, Minecraft can be great for that, but it’s more about building your own world than uncovering some mystery. So to say that I’m excited for Adventure In Aellion would be an understatement.

The game boasts a large open world with a lot to see and do, and it all looks like it’s going to be adorable. The game’s art style reminds me a little bit of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and a little bit of Gang Beasts, but really it’s something all its own. While it’s quite cutesy, it’s also breathtakingly beautiful. It’s another reason that I’m excited to try out the game.

Adventure in Aellion will be coming to Steam as an Early Access game on February 28, 2020. I’ll be ready to play it. Will you? Let us know in the comments!
