Through the years we have all watched various shows that lasted a mere 12 or 13 episodes before production was ended. We’ve waited years and years for these series to return only to give up all hope in the end. Although most of the series I will be listing here will probably never get another season, I will still hold out hope that a second season or maybe a reboot could happen. So without further ado, here is my list of 6 series that deserves to be continued.

6. Noragami

Noragami is an incredible series about a demigod wanting to change his fortune. I love this series for its deep message and comedic relief. Unfortunately, it only lasted two seasons and a third season was never announced. I can only assume that its due to the fact that the manga went on hiatus back in 2017 because one of the staff being out due to illness. Hopefully once the manga gets rolling again another season will follow.

Synopsis: Yato may just be a minor god now, but he’s determined to make it big and he’s got a plan. Unfortunately, things just don’t seem to be going his way. He doesn’t have a single shrine dedicated to him, his partner has just quit, and now he’s got to find a new divine weapon. Just when things look bleak, he meets a girl named Hiyori and changes her life forever.

Blood Lad is one of my favorite comedy series that unfortunately will probably never return. Hopefully one day a reboot may happen so this wonderful tale can continue.

Synopsis: Staz is one of the toughest vampires in the demon world. But unlike his ancestors, he finds being a vampire to be a serious pain and prefers to spend his time watching anime and playing video games instead. When a Japanese girl named Fuyumi wanders into his territory, Staz cannot hide his excitement at finally meeting a living human from his favorite culture. Unfortunately, Fuyumi dies after being swallowed by a monster, leaving her bare soul behind. Staz vows to Fuyumi that he will bring her back to life by any bloody means necessary.

4. The Devil is a Part-Timer

I was recently encouraged to watch this series and I loved every minute of it. The series is also fun and full of comedy. The creator of the series has expressed interest in producing another season of the anime.

Synopsis: Inches away from conquering the world, the devil is foiled by a hero and finds himself in modern-day Tokyo. With no real-world skills to speak of, the devil is forced to make ends meet flipping burgers at a fast food joint!

3. High School of the Dead

It seems that High School of the Dead is every anime fans first love – especially in the zombie genre. The series is full of Fan service and also offers up some dark elements which really gives the series a deeper element of life and death. Unfortunately this is another series that will in all likely hood never get another season, no matter how much fans clamor for it.

Synopsis: From Director Tetsuro Araki (Deathnote, Black Lagoon), and adapted from the highly successful manga of the same name by Daisuke Sato, comes one of the hottest new shows of the Summer, High School of the Dead. A deadly new disease is ravaging the world, turning the populace into mindless zombies, and the number of infected is skyrocketing by the second.

2. Masamune-kuns Revenge

Masamune-kuns Revenge is a good series that has comedy and romance. It left off on a sort of cliffhanger as though another season may be coming. Hopefully down the line another season will come about.

Synopsis: I’ve returned to this town for revenge!” Eight years ago, Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy, was harshly rejected by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. Now, he’s lost a ton of weight, changed his name, and returned as a handsome teenage boy… all to make the “Brutal Princess” Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did.

  1. Magi

Magi is absolutely one of my favorite series. From the deep story telling to the complex characters and so forth. Magi has had two seasons but a third was never announced. Even though the manga ended I feel that if any series were to continue it should be Magi.

Synopsis: The story follows the travels of a boy named Aladdin around a strange land in which mysterious ruins called Dungeons are said to house priceless treasures. Together with Alibaba, a friend he met during his travels, Aladdin strives to conquer all of the Dungeons and obtain their treasures.
