It: Chapter 2

It: Chapter 2 Recaptures the Box Office This Weekend

This weekend the horror movie It: Chapter 2 recaptured the top spot at the box office. The movie almost didn’t take first place with Hustlers capturing $33.2 million in its opening weekend. It: Chapter 2 grossed an estimated $40.7 million as it sits at $153 million domestically. The movie is now sitting at a healthy $323 million world-wide. The Goldfinch failed to gross more than $3 million as it sits at $2.6 million. The budget for this film was $45 million, you can call this a massive failure of a movie financially.

This October one of the more exciting looking movies will be coming out. It is a movie that I can’t wait to see. Joker will be releasing on October 4th with a fresh new take on the origin of the popular villain. Zombieland 2 is also right around the corner as it hits theaters on October 18th right along side Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. October is shaping up to be a great month for fans.

Next weekend three movies will be released that will easily take over the top three spots. First off is the Brad Pitt helmed film Ad Astra, followed by Downtown Abbey the movie. The final film to be released is also the final Rambo film in the series, Rambo: Last Blood. Hopefully everyone had a great weekend as we go into another crazy week full of work and family events.
